GUM REMOVAL
There are a couple of ways to remove gum from hair without having to cut it out. I have used both techniques with great success!

1) Rub an ice cube on the trouble spot. The gum will harden and crumble. It takes awhile, so be patient. This also works great for getting it off of clothes or your rug!

2) Peanutbutter works great if you're not allergic to it. It's quicker and messier than the ice cube method. It's possible that using something oily, like vegetable or olive oil might work as well, but I've not tried it.
